The idea for the comic page came to me when I thought of how some people use Twitter as an excuse for not having to talk to people, while still communicating with people.
The page started as a colored pencil drawing, which I inked, scanned, lettered (in Inkscape) and colored (in GIMP).

Here is another drawing pure from imagination. I wasn’t really worried about likeness, and just wanted to have some nice lines on the paper.

Getting your anatomy right requires intense study. I haven’t done that yet, but the drawings are still pretty descent. The only thing is that I keep drawing those mammalian glands too high on the chest. They rest on top and below the breast muscles. It is mostly fatty tissue, grown in a particular shape. I keep mixing them up with the muscle tissue underneath.
The lines and the technique I like. Drawing with a reed pen and steel dip pen is tricky on normal drawing paper, though. Inkblots are always imminent.

I used another reference photo for this rough sketch of Slave Princess Leia from Star Wars 6.
I especially like the cartoony thick black outline of the character, which makes it pop out even more.
