Drawing Unknown Faces, part 47

15 Apr

Having started in a new sketchbook, I’m confident I will reach that magical number 999 at some point in the future. There is an almost infinite supply of reference material on Flickr, and while I’m not earning any money from it (pure as study objects) that might be considered fair use.

This toddler was on the beach and I’ve framed the original photo even tighter, to only reveal the head and part of the chest. This helps me to concentrate on the important part, which is, of course, the face.

The sketch is made using a photo on the Flickr public photo stream, using a 0.5 mm 2B technical pencil on 15 x 21 cm drawing paper.

That is all.
