Drawing Unknown Faces, part 75

So, now I got the line through the nose right, but I started adding the features in the sketch too soon. Of course, in this very old face it is the fun part, but I should remind myself to first put a firm foundation in my sketches, and only then start concentrating on the stuff that will be visible in the finished sketch (the foundation can only be inferred by studying the features, and how they relate to each other).

Drawing Unknown Faces, part 75

If I glance over the fact that the right eye is too low in the face, this is not a bad drawing.

I found the reference photo on the public photo stream of Flickr, and needed approximately 25 minutes to finish the sketch.

That is all.
