So, I froze a frame of this video I found on YouTube, and tried to draw the woman in a few quick strokes. Guess what? Only after eight pages of fruitless “doodling” with the brush pen, I finally got a shape of the face that was more or less in proportion.
Because I had drawn her mouth and eyes repeatedly, putting those into the face wasn’t too difficult. However, before that, I was feeling frustrated. I have been drawing almost every day for nine months, and still I feel like a hack.
Judging from what other artists say about their art, this feeling of being a mere beginner never goes away, at least not completely.
That is all.
