- IOW, how much you like something is a bad predictor of how useful something is to you, as a whole. It could just appeal to your logic. 4 years ago
- Be weary when language appeals to you, because you’re probably being manipulated by its speaker. Normal talk is never so nice and pleasing. 4 years ago
- Language in public speaking isn’t about reality and consistency, but rather about a wanted result, i.e. different from casual conversation. 4 years ago
